Getting your child to school
Let your child’s school know if you’re struggling to figure out how to get them there and home. Focus on Attendance also helps families struggling with school attendance. Contact them at (412) 350-7118 or through email.
Childcare, pre-school and before and after school programs
Use the Allegheny Child Care Tool to find childcare and before and after school programs.
Find quality childcare or get help in applying for the childcare subsidy by contacting the Early Learning Resource Center at 888 340-3572.
Find free early learning classes for infants, toddlers and kids 3-5. Start with the Early Head Start/Head Start Program locator to enroll your child or call (412) 350-6611.

Hello Baby offers support for parents of new babies. It’s a collaborative effort among family-focused organizations in Allegheny County. Hello Baby reaches families through the existing network of Family Centers, but any family can get support from a Family Center through the Hello Baby website, 2-1-1 warmline, or texting service. All services are voluntary.
